Even when an older parent has care visits, there is often a gap.
Loneliness, lack of continuity, small things not followed up, and adult children still feeling responsible for everything.
BetweenVisits provides a consistent, scheduled caller who checks in with your parent, offers companionship, follows up small practical matters, and keeps you informed with short updates after each contact.
- Regular, scheduled check-in calls at agreed times
- A consistent named caller
- A short update after each call (WhatsApp or email)
- Light coordination on agreed tasks
- Clear escalation rules agreed upfront
- Hands-on personal care
- Nursing or medical advice
- Medication management
- An emergency response service
- A replacement for your care agency or the NHS
- ID verified and references checked
- Safeguarding trained
- GDPR-compliant notes (minimal and need-to-know)
- No handling of cash or financial access
- Updates shared only with authorised family contacts
This service is being piloted by Richard Phillips. I am testing a structured, phone-based service for families who already have care visits in place, but still feel there is a gap between visits. The aim of this pilot is to work closely with a small number of families, understand what genuinely helps, and build the service carefully and responsibly.
- You text TRIAL and we have a short call to check suitability.
- If it feels like a good fit, we agree a simple routine and escalation plan.
- Check-ins begin within days.
- You receive short updates after each contact.
- At the end of the trial, you decide whether to continue.
